ABC Workshop with Liene Stevens

Monday, July 20, 2009

As many of you know, I'm on the board of the Association of Bridal Consultants here in LA, and with this privelege comes the opportunity to plan educational workshops and social events for the planners and event professionals of Los Angeles. Last month, we hosted an educational workshop on Social Media, Blogging and Online Branding with speaker Liene Stevens of Splendid Communications. Liene is best known in the industry for her blog that supports the industry with advice on business administration, time management and even legal issues. Her blog is a must read amongst event professionals nationwide and she has more recently taken to the road to share a little bit about how she has become so successful. The workshop was a little preview of her larger "Blogging Bootcamp" Workshop.

The workshop took place at the very hip & trendy Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood which has an incomparable view of Los Angeles. With it's crisp palette of pewter and white, I brought in the super talented Carissa Jones of JL Designs & Events and she hooked up the space with clean arrangements of calla lilies, hydrangeas and even a few peonies. These set on top of sparkling linens from La Tavola and we really gave a little spice to the uber modern venue.

Following the presentation by Liene, everyone enjoyed little treats from Lu Lu's Sweets. , which were super delish.

Check out the images below by my good friend, Meg Perotti. She is too talented!

If you missed Liene and want a chance to see her in action in the future, you can sign up here for her Blogging Bootcamp which will take place on August 19th in Manhattan Beach. Or, if you are more disappointed to have missed the ABC portion of the event, we are hosting a Bollywood themed event tomorrow at Tanzore in Beverly Hills, complete with a Bollywood Dance Troupe, Mehndi Artist and design and decor from Raj Tents and My Flower Guy. It's not to be missed. You can sign up for tomorrow's event or just view the online calendar at the ABC-GLA website.
